Baba Olori condemns police brutality, supports agitation against SARS

The Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Dr, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao has drummed support for the Nigerian youths in their protest against police brutality and extra judicial killings by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).The clergyman said, "Let's commend our youths for their patriotic agitation against police brutality and extortion in Nigeria. I think Police need to be reformed and flush out the bad eggs in the system.Baba Olori, however, appealed to the protesting youths to be peaceful in their conduct and avoid confrontation with the security agencies to prevent loss of lives and properties. He also warned against the use of white garment by C & S youths for the protest just as he warned them not to do anything that will tarnish the image of the church. C&S warns against using white garment to protest

The Cherubim and Seraphim church has reacted to a planned prayer walk by some youths of the White garment churches, scheduled to hold at the Lagos State Secretariat on Wednesday. The Chief PRO of the Church, Supt Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi, on Tuesday said Nigerian youths have the right to embark on such exercise, but should desist from using their prayer gown. According to him, the situation at hand does not require using a prayer gown as it is not a religiously induced agitation. He added that the church never took a decision on the matter because it is not a religious matter. He said, "My attention was drawn to the development on Monday, but the church is not aware of such move. Besides, the agitation here is not between the government and the church, but entire people. AEGIS reveals details of Celebrating Seraphs 2.0

AEGIS have announced the details of the second edition of the event, as well as what to expect.  The team in a statement disclosed that this year's award ceremony promises to be rewarding and exceptional. Celebrating Seraphs is an event organized by the AEGIS TEAM to celebrate some outstanding seraphs that have proven their worth both within the church and in the larger society. This year’s event involves Award presentation, life-changing ministration, prophetic declaration, entertainment . etc. The team, however discloses that this year's Award Presentation segment will involve 7-categories. Individuals within the church were selected to serve as Award Nomination and Review Committee for the team. OCCUPY2020 Postponed....

The national executive council of the Youth Fellowship of C&S Unification Church of Nigeria has through its PRO announced the postponement of the much awaited annual youth camp. Bro Wale Osho while making this announcement linked the postponement to the current global pandemic; "After considering the current situations around the world, the national executive council, state chairmen and national directors at a virtual meeting held on Saturday, approved the postponement till further notice. As a law abiding fellowship as taught by the parent body, we are bound to obey Covid-19 rules and guidelines which prohibit massive religious gathering at the moment", he said. The annual camp which was earlier scheduled to hold between 6th - 9th August in Ogun state at Seraph Land Maba with thousands of Seraph Youths in attendance. Yes churches are raising young Leaders

Today, youth in the white garment fold are breaking grounds with a lot of different accomplishment with the likes of Yetunde inherited, Adedayo Sekere, Emmanuel Adewoyin, Aniyi Kehinde, Eri Selika,Dayo Oyewo,iamnueladeyeye, and many more. Leaders/elders in the fold, have a lot of important roles to play, they need to encourage and guide us in the right path. For instance, we are losing the youths to other denominations at a record pace. But aside from those situations, we can make the necessary adjustments to keep rising up new generations of leaders. They need to give us a foundation to build on, and not an anchor that drags us down, it is the responsibility   of the elders to lighten the load, not weigh them down with unnecessary rules. A healthy church needs every part operating at its best capacity and in its strongest functions. Both young and old. We are the leaders of tomorrow  We are destined to be great……

TAMPAN to sanction members over misuse of white garment

Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) says it won't hesitate to sanction members who portray the white garment churches in bad light. President of the association, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, better known as "Mr. Latin" made this known following an inquiry by Seraph Bloggers. The media group penultimate week frowned at the habitual misuse of white garment by Nigerian entertainers. In what was contained in a release titled: "Gross Misrepresentation Of The White Garment Churches", the group says it won't cease to contribute its quota in checkmating the ugly trend. While calling his attention to a music video making the rounds which featured a member of the association who donned a white garment with questionable dance steps, Amusan claimed he was unaware of the video.
